Joyce Swank

Joyce has a degree in Sociology and has always enjoyed studying different cultures.  Since her retirement, she has found her work with the Troy Literacy Council has given her the opportunity to pursue this interest in a very meaningful way.

Tutor Trainer & Librarian

Sarah Bay

Sarah has a Master's Degree in English (TESOL) and lived in Japan for three years. She has taught English at local universities, but is now writing children's and young adult books. She likes to take on projects that force her to learn new skills, like this website.

Jane Eberly

Janie has been a Troy resident for almost 50 years. She is a former Family & Consumer Sciences teacher with a Masters degree in Reading. In addition to her involvement with TLC she is also a member of Altrusa and a doting grandma.

Barb Minnich

Barb is a retired educator. She was an Intervention Specialist at Miami East High School for thirty eight years. She keeps busy now volunteering in her community, spending time with friends and family, and working at the Troy Miami County Public Library.

Chris Stevens

Chris has lived in Troy since 2016, and has spent most of his free time since then renovating his home. Chris has a Ph.D in aeronautical engineering, the best wife ever, and two children. He likes to travel and ski whenever he can (which is never frequently enough).

Kevin Bomhard

Kevin is our resident mystery man and rubber ducky enthusiast. He always has a couple in his laptop bag. Aside from his great rendition of "Rubber Ducky," he is an enigma. Does he have a wife? A job?  Hobbies? We may never know....
